Meet Our Teachers

I have been a Kindergarten teacher in the San Ramon school district since 1997. Watching the Kinders enter their first year of school, so eager and excited about learning, is why I love teaching Kindergarten. A tremendous amount of growth occurs during the Kindergarten year, and it is fun to be a part of it all.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy being with my family and friends, reading and traveling when the time allows. I am delighted to be a member of the Kindergarten team at Hidden Hills. It is very exciting to be involved in a new and growing school community.

I grew up in Clovis, California, but have made the East Bay my home since 1989. I graduated from Hayward State, where I received my teaching credential, and C.L.A.D. certification. Prior to joining the Hidden Hills staff, I taught at Strandwood Elementary in Pleasant Hill. I have been teaching since 1997! My experience has mostly been in Kindergarten. However, I have taught a K/1 combination, 1st grade, and looped (where I had the same kids for another year).

As a teacher, I find it rewarding to see the growth in each and every child from when they first started school until the end of the year...it's AMAZING!

I am so excited to be a part of the Hidden Hills community this year! I have been teaching at Hidden Hills since the 2008-09 school year. I was a student in the San Ramon Valley School District and feel at home in this community. As a student here, I gained a passion for learning that I want to give back through my teaching. I believe that learning should be an experience where students are encouraged to actively participate. I believe the classroom should be a safe and fun place where all students feel comfortable and respected; this is important for growth, learning, and the success of all students.

I graduated from St. Mary's College in 2004 with a BA in English and received my credential and Masters of Arts in Teaching from Chapman University College. I previously taught preschool in Lafayette. I am so looking forward to another great year here at Hidden Hills!
