Hidden Hills Site Council

2013-14 Site Council Board - Need Parents

The Hidden Hills Site Council is in need of several parents to join our board for the 2013-14 school year. The School Site Council serves as the school community representative body for determining the focus of the school's academic instructional program and all related categorical resources. We meet 4-5 times/year to create/update the school site plan, review the budget and provide ongoing monitoring of the implementation of the site plan. Hidden Hills Site Council Purpose

The purpose of the Hidden Hills Site Council is to carry out the following duties:

  • Obtain recommendations for, and review of the proposed Single Plan for Student Achievement from all school advisory committees
  • Develop and approve the plan and related expenditures in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations
  • Recommend the plan and expenditures to the governing board for approval
  • Provide ongoing review of the implementation of the plan with the principal, teachers and other school staff members
  • Make modifications to the plan whenever the need arises
  • Annually (and at each trimester) evaluate the progress made toward school goals to raise the academic achievement of all students
  • Carry out all other duties assigned to the council by the district governing board and by state law

The Site Council is composed of 10 members selected by their peers as follows:

  • 3 classroom teachers
  • 1 other school staff member
  • 5 parents or community members
  • The school principal
  • 1 runner up from staff and parents will serves as non-voting alternate if applicable

Meeting Schedule

The Site Council meets approximately every other month.  All meetings take place at 7:00 pm at Hidden Hills.  Below is the meeting schedule for the 2012-13 school year.
