Important News for This Month!
AM/PM Reading schedule starts Monday, August 29th. Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with arrival and dismissal procedures for AM Readers and PM Readers.
AM Reading Dismissal Procedures:
Carpool students will proceed directly to the front gate to be picked up by carpool parent.
Growing Room Students will proceed directly to the Growing Room pick up area between E and F buildings.
Walkers will proceed directly to the playground gate where parents will be waiting on the street side of the gate for pick up.
PM Reading arrival procedures:
PM readers arrive by 9:00 a.m. Students will be let in by a yard duty at the playground gate and proceed directly to their class number on the blacktop. They wait quietly for the yard duty to lead them to their classrooms. This is not a recess, please do not arrive before 9:00, as there will be no supervision.
PM Reading dismissal Procedures:
Carpool Students will proceed directly to the front gate to be picked up by carpool parent.
Growing Room student will proceed directly the Growing Room pick up area between E and F buildings.
Walkers will proceed directly to the playground where they will meet their parents for pick up.

Homework for this month is meant to build routines (home and school), reinforce parent- child relationship while fostering independence.
* All assignments due September 29th
*Read 15 minutes each night and record on log. Please sit with your child to listen to them read aloud and discuss the book (comprehension).
* Complete 3 activities each week from the calendar and check off completed activities.
* You only need to turn in the reading log, calendar and calendar response sheet (you do not need to attach any other paper) on the due date, September 29th.
Please practice the following skills:
* Establish routines (bed time, dinner time, homework)
* Practice tying shoes
* Practice independence- pack backpack, clear dishes, clean up toys, practice taking turn when speaking.
